Aren't computers the pits sometimes? LOL I'm wondering if your version of Norton wasn't compatible with Win98?? That's how computer software people get you - each version of each software has to be compatible with each other. Grrrrrrrr!

Have a wonderful day Barb!

Barbara,

The Norton's programs are your problem. Norton's programs continuously corrupt Windows operating systems, for no good reason--they just do. I thought I had posted that observation several times in the past. I used to have issues like that all the time. I finally got tired of it and trashed all my Norton's programs, and now my computers are all happy campers. Trust me--NORTON'S SUCKS!.

I use EZ Antivirus, by Computer Associates, (available at WalMart, and many computer and office supply stores, and nothing else. I NEVER have any more unexplained operating system problems, since I got rid of the Norton's crap, (pardon me--Norton's software). Back when it was still Norton property, it was great software, but after Symantec bought Norton out, it went downhill in a hurry. Today, they totally suck, in my opinion. I wouldn't touch 'em with a ten-foot pole, cause I don't enjoy having to restore my computers every few weeks. Without the Norton's junk, they run, and run, and run--just like the Duracell bunny, and just like they're supposed to do.

Whenever I buy a new computer, the very first thing I do, is to uninsteall any Norton's junk that was pre-installed at the factory, or the dealership.

Luve,
Wayne
