Thanks, Alice.
Just a week ago today I sat with Jan (the MIL) in the morning. She had been sent home from the hospital on hospice and we all were taking shifts. She was dying from lung cancer and it was so difficult to watch her struggle for every breath. Even with constant oxygen, her lips and fingers were blue. That same night she slipped into a coma and (mercifully) died the next morning. It has been a long and sad week.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
