We Made Yahoo

Post by MaggieRedwings »

Just doing a search engine on microscopic colitis on Yahoo and we are top of page 3.

We made it and hopefully we will be able to help more people.

Love, Maggie

Thanks, Maggie,

I haven't even checked lately, so I appreciate you pointing that out.

I've noticed lately that besides the usual search engine bots, we've had Inktomisearch and Gigablast poking around. Our one year anniversary is coming up on the 24th of this month. As they say, time flies when you're having fun.

Love,

I though about mentioning the one year anniversary too but didn't. It has been an absolutely wonderful year and it is so nice to have a great group and no back biting like happened at our previous home. By the way, the old home gets little action - thank heavens for Lucy helping out newbies and the "new comfortable site" that opened is still as crazy as ever.

I love it here, the help and support are great and hopefully my life - especially at work - will slow down a bit. I really need it to for my health to get back to 100%.

Love to my family, Maggie

Wait a minute! We're not there yet. We've still got 13 days to go. LOL.

It does seem to have gone by rather fast, though.

Hi Maggie and all,

Apparently the old site has been "suspended," and the message now just says to "contact the billing dept," etc.
I actually hadn't been around there much lately. Wonder what happened?

At any rate, I'm glad to know that Yahoo picked up this site as, as the kids say, "it's awesome!"

Yours, Luce

Such a shame that the old site went down. I guess Andy might have thrown in the towel. Not much of a moderator anyway - we have the best - he was more like a dictator.

Signing on from home and hope this works. I uninstalled and reinstalled a different version of AOL so hope it works.

Love, Maggie

Just ignorance on my part, but I've always wondered why people who don't have an illness or a family member with a disease spend their time and energy on a support group. Is there something I should know?

I just learned recently that one of the "competing" PD groups (not a computer group) locally has PAID workers. The one I've been a part of were all volunteers. I think that many people are members of both groups, however. I presume that the national organization pays their salary, but don't know for sure. It is alot of hard work though.

Anyway, this has all been highly educational! Ha!
Yours, Luce
