I started a new thread because your original one is so long now.
I really enjoyed reading about Eileen, Rhiannon, Daniel, and Connor! Isn't it interesting how different kids can be despite being raised in the same environment? It never ceases to amaze me! There's a lot to be said for genetics. Even in the newborn nursery it is possible to see differences in temperament among the babies. You were lucky that the twins had no major problems. If you get the chance, I'd love to see some photos of them. With the Irish names, I'm wondering if you have a redhead?
Regarding your concerns about Rhiannon, you might consider getting her Dr. Fine's stool test for gluten antibodies. As you probably know, his test picks up gluten sensitivity/CD in the early stages......before the villi are damaged. Quite a few of us here had normal celiac (blood) tests but positive (stool) tests with Dr. Fine. (I am one).
Also, Dr. Fine can do gene studies - from a Q-tip swab of the inside cheek. I found out that I have 2 genes that predispose to gluten sensitivity but not one of the major genes (DQ2 and DQ8) that predispose to celiac disease. But some here were found to have the CD genes.
Anyway, I can't imagine how incredibly busy you must be!!! It sounds as if the move to the smaller town was a good one. Do you spend a lot of your life in the car taking the kids around to various activities? If so, it's a good thing that you have mainly night-time diarrhea. LOL! I remember vividly a diarrheal "accident" I had while sitting in the car with my son on a cold winter's day waiting for the school bus to arrive. Luckily, I could go directly home and clean up myself and the car as soon as the bus arrived. SIGH. MC is a humbling experience if nothing else.

Hi Karen,
I just wanted to encourage you to watch her, too. My daughter wet the bed until age 5 - stopped the hour I took her off milk. She showed signs of having problems similar to mine at a young age - now at 27, she is having more serious diet/health issues, and at an even younger age than I did, so she is progressing along the same path sooner. I might have saved her a lot of unnecessary problems if I had restricted her diet from the beginning, and stuck to it rather than thinking she had outgrown her sensitivities.

Hi Polly & Marsha!
I am definitely keeping a close eye on her. Considering her constipation problems when she was younger (I was EXACTLY the same way, my mom says......), she seems to be following my path. We did have the bloodwork done, but as I said before, I don't rely on those too much, especially in children. Her pediatrician instructed us to give her Senokot every night (she was on it for 1 1/2 years, until we slowly weened her off and she continued to have comfortable bm's.).
I am leaning towards getting some Enterolab testing done for both Rhiannon and myself. I do have a question though. Has anyone from Canada been on here who has used Enterolab? I am just concerned that there would be a complication in sending "specimens" over the border. Especially the way my bm's are,
the border guards would think it's some kind of toxic/chemical attack from north of the border! 
I have tried to post some pics, but I can't figure out how to do it. I have pics at villagephotos.com, but I haven't figured out to get them on here. If I try the Tagworld down below, what line do I use to transfer it over here? (See, told ya I was computer illiterate!!! LOL!)

If you have any questions about special considerations, you can email them--they are very responsive, as a rule. The instructions come with the kits. You keep the samples frozen until the delivery truck comes to pick them up.

Here's how to include a picture, (or pictures) in your posts:
If you already have them uploaded to a server somewhere in the world, (such as villagephotos), all you have to do is add a link, (the URL) to your album, in your post. The system will automatically convert an URL into a live link.
If you have the images stored on your computer, click on the postreply button, (or the newtopic button, if you want to start a new thread),
and start writing your message. When you get to the point in your message where you want to insert a picture, just click on the browse button beside the ImageShack window, (all this is below your message composing window), and browse to the image file on your computer that you want to use. Click on it to select it. Then click on the Host It button, and your computer will upload it to the ImageShack site. It will then take you to a page at ImageShack, where your image will appear.
Near the top of the page, you will see some links to URLs in blue. Usually, the second one will have a note beside it, (on the right), that says something like thumbnail for forums 1. Copy this complete URL, and paste it into your message, and you're done. For very small images, you may not see a thumbnail link, and in that case just copy the link for forums 1. Note that there are two options for forums, (1 & 2)--the first one, (number 1), works for this forum.

I think you would truely benefit from Dr Fines tests because it is very possible that you have another food intolerance. That would be good news if they found another becuase that might be what is holding you back.
Dr Fine test shows positive for gluten and casien but negative for soy, eggs, and yeast
Maybe its UC maybe its MC? Who knows at this point, but at least I know my intollerances now... so heres to the road to healing!

No redheads! LOL! We are what they call in Newfoundland, "the dark Irish". (My family is from down east, my mom from Nova Scotia and my dad from Newfoundland. Yep! Part Newfie! and proud of it, btw )
Terry's dad is pure Irish. He even looks like a leprechaun! Terry's mom is Portugese/Guyanese. I guess that's where Eileen gets her Mediterranean olive colour skin from......

I haven't officially introduced myself, but I've read your intro and want to welcome you here!! I seem to get here sporadically - esp. during busy times of the year! I am amazed with the energy you must have w/4 kids - I have 3 and some days I am run ragged
I'm sorry to hear of your health problems - I hope the advice of some who have traveled that road can help you find some relief! I was on meds, then I added diet (which took awhile to work) and then was able to drop the meds. I am also convinced pregnancy helped throw me into remission (I had my youngest 2 years after being diagnosed)
My 3 kids have very different personalities, as well -it's interesting! After 2 boys, everyone told me how fun and "easy" I would find having a girl - ummm WRONG - my daughter is a high-maintenance princess who keeps us all on our toes! And my #2 boy is by far my mellowest child - his first grade teacher *loves* him, as I know the rest of the boys in that class run circles around her!
