We finally made the doctor's appointment today for Larry's dad. He has colon cancer. The doctor said it appears to be contained in one area so they are expecting to perform surgery as soon as he is cleared. He is considered high risk due to heart attacks, stroke, sugar and high BP. His age (71) is also a factor.
They are expecting to reconstruct the bowel in a 4 hour surgery. They will check for the depth of the cancer and also check the lymph nodes. The CAT scan appeared clear last week.
That's all the news we have right now. I will keep everyone informed.
