Last I heard from my mom she has started very aggressive chemo...they had to hire a f/t nanny since I guess because it has spread to her bones, she is not supposed to lift the twins (?)
I guess the plan is to forge ahead and hope for the best - what else can you do?
We have other family friends whose son had testicular cancer @ 20 - he had a recurrence 6 years later and the prognosis was very bad - it had spread to the brain, lung, liver...anyways he pulled a "Lance Armstrong" and he is now 8 years in remission - married and recently adopted a little girl...I wish that sort of recovery was the norm and not the exception - but it gives everyone hope that it *can* happen....
