Steroid OD = no need for entocort?

Post by grannyh »

Haven't been on entocort since about May 8th... When they gave me the massive doseof steroids for my back (Dexpak). Pretty normal poops.. at least so far.. On the other hand it now may be the Norvasc that is keeping D away since they said it can be constipating...

The bills I have run up from the steroid OD are quite startling.. just got the first one for emergency room where they sat me in a chair for 8 hours after shooting me up with morphine and phenargen, and did a cat scan of my head... $3,666.00. Not looking forward to the bill for the overnight stay last week, that is for sure!

I see the family doc today for followup after hospital and see the cardiologist at the end of the month.

If anyone tries to give me steroids again I just may have to deck them!..LOL

Grannyh,

I never cease to be amazed at how things that start off so simply, and so innocently, can end up being such a nightmare. Life takes some strange detours, sometimes, doesn't it.

I hope you're feeling better, anyway.

Oh Geez,
I'm so sorry. That was quite the event, wasn't it?
Thinking of you,

Went back to the family doc today... I can start back to the physical therapy for my back and they are sending orders to evaluate my neck.. may be pinched nerve or something that is causing my headaches.

Two more weeks of a lot of resting since the blood pressure is not under control.. he said it takes about a month for the Norvasc to work.... we shall see...
