Hello All,
Now we are really getting serious about dismantling our lives!
A friend of my husband's is interested in my desk and possibly my small file cabinent so I spent the morning clearing files. He wants to have the items this weekend! Eeek, I have a fairly busy work week next week, but will have to make so cute accomodation. I put all my precious fundraising articles (I was a fundraising consultant for a few years while I was getting my freelance writing business off the ground) into recycling, and got rid of lots of other paper too. Another friend came by last night who is interested in our futon couch and dining room table. Fortunately, she can wait until we leave to take them!
Slowly, we are slimming down more and more, and making lists of all the things we need to do before we leave for Europe. Then we have our list of things to do once we arrive there!
It's a little bit unsettling, but not too bad. In the end, I imagine I will have about 4 bags worth of belongings.
Found out that they will have a gluten and dairy free food option on the retreat, and they are tyring to have as many organic vegetables as possible!
Hope you are having a pleasant memorial day weekend.
Love, Celia

Dismantling
I beleive in magic!
Celia,
You seem to be making good progress. I have to admit that I don't believe that I could survive without most of my "stuff", so my hat's off to you for being able to make a clean break, and leave all that behind.
I wondered how in the world you and your husband were going to be able to cope with the diet issue after you moved. I'm glad that that little detail will be taken care of so easily. I'm curious as to whether you would have gone ahead with your plans, even if that option had not been available.
I hope that this turns out to the fabulous and satisfying adventure that it promises to be.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Tex,
It would have been a hard call if they weren't willing to accomodate my diet, as I feel this is an opportunity of a lifetime. Fortunately, gluten has never been a big part of the diet there, except for bread in the morning.
Even as it is, I think it will be a little tricky for me. Since I've been able to eat more foods since starting the HP treatment, I think things are looking up.
Warmly, Celia
