Post by Mars »

The weather in Ohio is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! It is 79 degrees and not yet noon! Looking at a scorcher today and tomorrow in the high 80's.

Wonderful day for BBQ's and picnics!

Enjoy your day!

I hate to complain about sunny weather, but MAN we went from early spring to mid-summer in 2 days! After 3 weeks of 40s and 50s and rain, we have had hot (high 70s and 80s) and humid this weekend! Yesterday wasn't as humid, but Saturday and today sure kicked the stuffing out of me. No chance to reaclimate to the warmth. I did turn the furnace off for good today though  .

I agree Katie. We went from 40's and 50's and needing the furnace at night to take the chill off to putting the air conditioner in this weekend.

The heat and humidity seem to make my blood preasure rise and I get very sick to my stomach. I'm not complaining, but I'm like you, no time to adjust at all!

Love,
Mars

Hi,

It's been fairly nice here, but parts of the Houston area, to the NE especially, but also down toward Galveston (Chambers Co.) there has been flooding. Downtown got 4.5 inches officially, so that wasn't too bad, but the NE got almost twice that amount in spots. West side's hardly gotten anything, and in our area, we got maybe less than an inch this morning.

Nevertheless, between the weather alarm going off and Mom waking me up, I didn't sleep well last night a all. Eventually, turned the volume on the weather radio down low enough that I could sleep with them yacking away, and still wake up with the not so quiet alarms to get an update without having to get up and turn the radio on. Problem was there were LOTS of alarms as situations in surrounding co's and this one were changing rapidly. Same thing's supposed to happen for several more days, so hope we don't get too much in this one spot as we are close enough to a bayou that we could experience our first water in the house ever if the right scenarios come about. We were very lucky during Allison as the trains of rain would stop before the water rose too high in the yard with each series of rainfall. Wow, those were the biggest drops I've ever seen!

Enjoy the good weather while you can!
It's actually been fairly cool here compared to other Memorial Day weekends, probably thanks to all the cloud cover, but it did clear up nicely this afternoon with continued coolness, but the clouds and rain will be back, and later, the heat as well.

By the way, we got a new A/C a few weeks ago. I was hoping that I wouldn't be adjusting the thermostat so much, but looks like it's just my body that's responsible for that problem as the room thermostat doesn't show any temperature changes that could account for this.

I'm on patches, so what gives with the hot flashes?

Yours, Luce
