Anyone Want to Chat Tonight? :conversation:

Post by tex »

Hi All,

This is probably a bad day, but since we haven't had an official chat in quite some time, and I'm off today, I was wondering if anyone might be interested in a chat this evening, say around 8:30 pm Central Time, which is 9:30 pm Eastern Time, and 6:30 pm Pacific Time. If I recall correctly, this is an hour later than Mars usually hosted the chats.

I'll try to be there and hold the door open, if anyone wants to drop in. For anyone who hasn't taken part in a chat before, all you have to do is click on the Chat link toward the top of this page, and you will be automatically signed in to the chat room. You just type your comments into the narrow yellow window below the main chatroom conversation display window, and hit the return key on your keyboard, or click on the "Send" button beside your message window.

You can click on the icon buttons below the chat display window, to add smilies, make sounds, access information, etc. If you click on the "Door" icon on the right end, you will leave the conversation, so be careful with that one.

You need to have the latest version of Java installed on your computer for the best results, but you can download a new copy from the resources available in the chatroom information sources, if you so desire. Just go to the chatroom, click on the "?" icon, and look for the link to download the latest version of Java.

I hope you can make it.

Tex

P S If you have any suggestions for a better time, please let me know.

Not looking to good for me tonight. I worked out in the yard all afternoon yesterday and today Mom and I went to my BIL's house and I was in the pool for a long time. I'm about to go to sleep sitting here.

My mind want to go but my body says........Lay Me Down!!!

Hi Mo,

It went better than expected, considering the bad timing. The chat lasted for almost two hours.

Mars has hinted that she may resume hosting a regular chat again, on Monday nights. If she's able to do that, I'll bet there'll be a big turnout next time.

Anyone can chat anytime they want--all that's necessary is to have an agreement, so that the chatees, (or is it chatters), can get together in the chatroom at the same time.

Love,
Tex

We just saw "Over the Hedge", too, and really enjoyed it!

I missed the chat as well...next time.
