HELLO EVERYONE??? Hope this finds you all fine and enjoying nicer weather then a few months ago. Here it was way, way too hot to be outside for long. It was 34 celsius, but felt like 42 celcius, now let me convert that to farenheit for others not on the metric system. So the 34 converts to to 93.2 F, and the 43 C converts to 109.4 F. So its no wonder that the air felt thick with all the humidity and smog in the air.But I am not complaining, I take it all in. I do not enjoy the cold and having to dres up everytime I go out to take Pebbles out for a pee. Also, having to dress Pebbles so she doesn't freeze too. So I take a book, sit outside and read and let her enjoy the warmth. Pebbles actually doesn't mind it al all, she finds a nice spot on the grass that's shaded and just enjoys being outside.
The other big thing that I am still getting use to is being a gramma! Now I can hardly wait for him to grow, and just to watch what kind of person he will be. There is just so much to look forward to. There is nothing better then holding that little guy. I was so proud of my daughter when she was in lavour with him. She was a real trouoper and for having the apportunity to deliver him and not have to go through the C-section. With Mason weighing over 8 lbz and being 22 " long, she did amazing.. As I did not have an easy time delivering her naturally, I did, but I tore so bad,, and she had this huge kid and delivered him with little problem. Only a couple little stitches, which is normal. I tole her she was made to have babies, for this being only her first and to go through it in only 12 hours of labour, that's great!!! She really was amazing too, joking even when she was having contractions.
The other thing that I am enjoying lots and lots, is watching my daughter nurse Mason and laugh at all his little noises and squeaks and gurglles. And Mason did the opposite that usually happens with first babies. Instead of going through a period of losing weight, he just gained. So now he is about 9 lbs. He is very alert and watching you when you talk to him. Well you have to know I am hanging on every little thing. Being proud of him and all. LOL
My youngest daughter that is in College finally got the report back from the testing center regarding her learning disability and it really is overwhelming. But that really shows just how hard she HAS worked to get the marks that she has. Especially the one course she took before going into the Health and Fitness program she wanted to go in to. She got a 73, which the doctor said was amazing considering the disabilities that he found, that would make anything mathimatical totally out of her capability range. Once I read the report through, it really made me understand just how hard she must have worked to get the marks that she did, which was graduating with a 83.5 average in high school
And now that she has been able to not work during the week while at shool she has done sooooooooooooo much better. She got an over 80 percent average in her last semeser at College, and she was not able to fully use all the aids that they will make available to her next semester to help her. So I am so happy for her. I think they will gind that she developed her own ways to learn just as she did with everything in her life
When she was little and we did not know as of yet that she that she could not hear, she was reading lips. That is why they it took longer to diagnose. And when she broke her arm at 3 the first thing she did was ask her sister to run and get her blanky. When she got it she wrapped it around her broken arm to protect it. The doctors told me on both occasions that if something is wrong with a very young child they by instinct adapt according to what they know. And I think that she did that all her life while in school, as the doctor told her that most kids would have dropped out of school long before because they would have not been able to deal with the trying and always failing that often goes hand in hand with it.
So that makes me proud of both my girls for different reasons, and thought I would share.
I still am having problems with too much pain, the only thing I can do is keep a very low profile, which is hard in itself, but when I push it I just go right back to square one. Case in point because of going to my grandson's birth, I swelled up so bad that I am only just now able to use my hands again without have unbearable pain. Its one thing to not be able to walk very far, but then to not be able to use my hands, no way. Can't handle that. So I pay my dues, take the time to rest, so that I can have the ability to do some things at least some of the time. One those things being holding my grandson. They have this great pillow that wraps around your waist so that you can rest the baby on the pillow and it takes some of the weight and enables you to hld them easier. Or if you are nursing, so that you can nurse in comfort. But ideal for me to just cuddle.
K
Its late as usual
Hugs

If there are lots os spelling mistakes, sorry, I can't see as well at night for some reason, but have tried to catch them, usually I know that I have made a mistake when I sense that I hit the wrong keys.
Still hard to see to correct them, so forgive the spelling mistakes when you see them.
Hugs again
Wendy
