The Allergy Self-Help Cookbook!!!!

Post by TendrTummy »

OK.. we went to the mall at lunch and were browsing thru cookbooks, looking for SOMETHING to help me, and voila!!!! We found it!!!!

The Allergy Self-Help Cookbook by Marjorie Hurt Jones, R.N.!!!!

It has, as it advertises, over 350 recipes free of ALL common food allergens, as follows: corn, egg, gluten, milk, sugar, soy, wheat, and yeast!!!! What a treasure this is!!!

It also has information about how to replace certain things in your diet, as far as nutrition goes, and how to plan for a nutritionally diversified diet, so you're not always eating the same stuff! It also has TONS of recipes that I haven't even gotten a chance to look at very much yet, but I already noticed a few that I'm itching to try. Perhaps this weekend I'll spend a day in the kitchen experimenting :)

Let me know if you're looking for a specific recipe, I'll see what I've got, but I strongly urge all of you to check this book out. This book would have saved me a trip to the dietician, because it's MUCH more information than she gave me, and organized VERY well.

Thanks Christine!

I just joined Barnes and Noble which gives me a 10-40% discount on mail order and store purchases (including the cafe - mmmm, coffee!)

I will check that out next time I go. I always love a good meal and cooking properly is more the better!

Have a good weekend! Hope you are feeling better!

Luv,
Mars

This is one of my all-time favorite books for dealing with MI. Glad you found it!
