Tex,

I could easily live without eating gluten and casein! That would be fine by me.

The Murakami book is all about activating and deactivating genes, which I would presume is a bit like reprogramming. He says that three factors effect genes---

the genes themsevles (which ones we have and don't have)
the environment
the mind

His hypothesis is that you can activate and decactivate your genes with your mental state, which he has proven in one scientific study. This still remains at the hypothesis state though. There is much more research to be done.

coconut, grapes, wine (unless it is sulfite free), most dried fruit (unless it says sulfite free), chocolate....those are the ones that come quickly to my mind.
