Molly

Post by kate_ce1995 »

Well, Miss Molly has ghiardia (sp?). And apparently it can be contageous to other cats AND people! Great like I need a GI bug. But at least I know whats wrong with her and I can start pumping the antibiotics down her when we get back. I guess another 2 days won't hurt her. Poor thing...was abandoned as a baby and probably picked it up while she was a stray. Ah well, we'll get her in ship shape I'm sure. Hopefully the anti-diarrheal they gave her will kick in a bit too until the antibiotics do the trick.

Well, I've got some work to do so i'm ready for my meeting tomorrow.

Wow, Katy,

You didn't happen to acquire the kitty around the time you acquired MC.....??? I had a stomach bacteria infection (E Coli) shortly before I developed MC.. Just curious..

Well CRAP! Ever read the list of symptoms for giardia? JUST LIKE MC!!!! AND I've been extremely tired this week, had D once over the weekend and yesterday and today had those little episodes of my gut feeling icky. Of course I've eaten gluten, and I've been busy at work. Maybe I'll call my doc on Tuesday and see what she thinks my risk is. Sounds like treatement could be worse because its those damn xxxxxazole drugs. I'm a bit crampy too, but I think its PMS. Maybe not! Now I'm going to worry.

Oh yeah, and of course Geoff is worried about the girls. WEll it was his idea to get them a cat! I mean I like Molly and all, but I did already have 2. ARRRRGGGGHHHHH

No Christine, I had MC 3 years ago. Just got Molly a month ago. But let me tell you, when my endometriosis started acting up, Tigger had toxoplasmosis (also potentially contageous although less likely). Great feeling. I didn't get toxo, but try explaining to a dumb doc that its possible.

Katy,

How about that? I sure hope Molly makes a speedy recovery and that the rest of you don't have it.
