How lucky am I?

Post by Peggy »

When I broke my neck and wrist recently my colitis eased off until I was somewhat healed. When I was "somewhat" healed the d came back full force. Then recently I started to have problems only in the morning, soft-serve and progressively better. Here I am traveling half way 'round the globe and, again, problems only in the morning. Psychosomatic? I don't know, but would like to get the opinion others on this.

Love
Peg

Peg,
That's interesting, because I'm the opposite. When I get sick or are stressed (good or bad stress doesn't matter) my MC is worse. I'd rather be like you. :)

Hi Peg,

Hmmmmmmmm. Interesting observation. One possibility is that your trip is actually less stressful than your normal routine, at least your body might perceive it that way, and perceptions are what count, when it comes down to the nitty gritty.

Whatever it is, there's definitely something here worth giving serious consideration. I think you're onto something.

I hope the rest of your trip is as enjoyable as it has been so far.

Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Dear Peg,
I think it's an interesting observation, also. From somone like you, who's had it for a long time, and been aware enough to notice trends, it's good that you take note of it.
Mine seems to get better in the summer, when I'm busier with family and friends. Or maybe it's the same, I am just too busy to dwell on it.

Love, Marsha
