Apparently we're not the only ones who think that celiac disease is improperly described, and diagnosed by obsolete criteria:

I found that reference in a long, (and very impressive), list of references, at the end of a very enlightening article on celiac disease. This article was published on March 1, 2006, and it's chock full of excellent information. What caught my eye, was the mention of "latent" celiac disease, which seems to fall under a classification that we often refer to as "celiac lite". The list of references that accompanies the article is, in itself, downright awesome. Here's that article:
