UK research results on Ibuprofen

Post by Tessa »

I read an article in our national press stating that some important doctors from the University of Nottingham (UK) have published their recent research on the side effects of some anti inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen and that this drug can cause heart attacks when used frequently... I thought about all these people taking Ibuprofen for their Crohn, UC & MC and got a bit frightened.

Have you heard about this?

I know that drugs have side effects... But this is worrying. Don´t you think so?
I am not taking Ibuprofen but wanted to share this with you.

Love,
Tessa

Searching the Net I found an article about it
http://www.boston.com/business/articles ... ibuprofen/
Please, take a look.

It is scarey isn't it? My Gi at the time I was diagnosed with MC told me with my history of headaches and Ibuprofhen use, That she believed that altho my sister mother and aunt all had colitis....Ibuprofhen was the starw that broke the camels back and triggered the onset of major symptoms. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance

Oh, yes it is scarey...
Do we really know the side effects of everything we are taking?

It is so sad.

Better not to worry, or we would not try anything at all...

Thanks for answering.
Love,
Tessa.
