Hi,
Interesting poll. I am a INFJ (Counselor) in the idealist category according to this test. Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Judging.
I like being in the same category as Ghandi, Mother Theresa, and Nelson Mandela!
When I took the Myers Briggs a number of years ago I as an INTP - architect. Guess, I've changed!
Hugs, Celia

I beleive in magic!
It appears that we have more of 2 specific types - INFP and INFJ. Each makes up only 1% of a large population who take the test, yet they account for a much larger % here. Of course, not many people here have taken the test - we would need many more to do so if we were going to draw statistically significant conclusions. Even some here did not actually take the test - I think they guessed which general category they would be in.
It's quite an amazing test - and so accurate in many ways, IMHO. The full write-up I have on my type describes me to a "T" - it's scary.

Polly,
Which type are you? I thought I could tell who was which type, and I'm finding I'm wrong. It's such a shock.

That's pretty impressive, that you got it right. I think that most of us guess wrong, before we take the test.

It sounds like us INTJ's are the minority.
Interestingly, this gave the same result as the much longer and more complex versions I have done at work. So much for needing a highly paid psych to interpret the results for us!
My TMI (Team Management Index) rates me as a "Controller Inspector". They describe us as the sort of people who, "when given a 50 page report for comment, would clearly identify the grammatical errors on pages 23 and 32 and the inconsistent font on page 46". Yep. Exactly correct.
On the Hermann Brain Dominance test I usually come out as Blue - Decisive, Independent "Bossy".
Actually, there is a strong survey bias here. I propose that participation in an online forum for any subject is more likely to occur with the extroverted folk than the introverts, and possibly the 'feeling' motivation would also encourage greater participation in support groups.

Oops, I voted INTP, but I'm actually an ISTP - Crafter. Other than being really good at gradeschool level art, I've never really crafted anything or been a mechanic though! Otherwise, the description is right on. Best in a crisis, master of the one-liner, detached, non-verbal, dormant until I launch into an acitivity - then frenzied. My LC is probably not helped by my procrastination and doing everything at the last minute.

I hear you. I share those characteristics also, (especially the procrastination part. LOL). I find this interesting to the fact that I knew I was a "protector" but the test results have me as an introvert. Before MC (almost 2 years), I would have been classified as "Life of the Party", but now I tend to stay away from gatherings and enjoy peaceful walks and reading, avoid crowds and pretty much do things with my little family. I hate to say this, but MC has changed my personality. Ginny
