It's too damn hot!

Post by Sally »

I know the rest of you are suffering from one thing or another weatherwise, but it's 100 degrees here. It's even hotter on my patio. I had to take the thermometer down because the homeowner's association here is getting ready to paint our houses. I don't know WHAT the temperature here really is. It's 100 at the Aurora airport. They were pressure washing some of the houses on the other side of the street this morning. I wish they would come over here, but they've gone home. It's too hot even for them.

Weird weather! It's only 90 degrees here--pretty cool for Texas this time of year. It's supposed to be this way until the weekend, and we may set record lows at some point during the next few days. They're predicted to be in the low 60s to possibly upper 50s. The humidity is not too high either, so it feels pretty nice.

This is so unusual that I feel plumb guiilty about having such nice weather during the summer in this neck of the woods. LOL.

Love,
Tex

And well you should, Wayne. Feel guilty, I mean. I got my thermometer out of the garage and put it out on the patio and it's 102 out there!! The mailman just brought me a book and I forced him to come inside for a drink of ice water and to wash his face. That was a mistake. He offered to move right in.

Enjoy your weather while you can. You'll get toasty later.

Hey, Wayne is right, it's unusually nice here today as well. I had the A/C off and the windows and door open for about three hours today. Nice for a change. Sally we are usually in the triple digits here, but got a reprieve this week. Love Oma

Pretty warm here until last Thursday when we were hit with a violent storm - horizontal rain, 80 - 110 mph winds - uprooted LARGE trees and people without electric for a few days.

The weather temp has dropped to the mid to high 70's from the high 80's. We're expecting T-storms thru next Saturday - ugggg

I start vacation on Friday and don't go back until the 10th of July! YIPPEE

I'm soooo excited. We're hoping to get the new boat in the water - kicking around trying to find somewhere to be in the water on the 4th for fireworks! Sounds like fun huh!?

Stay dry and cool everyone!
Love,
Mars

Well, it's 72 outside my kitchen window this morning (7:09 AM).

It's REALLY humid (93) and supposed to get to 89 today which is plenty hot enough for me. I can't remember the last time I turned off my AC.

Not wishing anyone bad luck but I sure hope the 100 degree stuff stays away from here!!

Hey Sal-

We've got your same weather, here  It has been around 100 for about a week! Very unusual for June - we usually have "June gloom" - cool foggy days - and the triple-digit waves are for late July/August... We decided to forgo the county fair this year - I'm not walking around in that heat!! We will take the kids to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk later this summer instead...

SO how cute is the mailman

Not all that cute, Mary. I turned him down. Besides after the Thea and Korben tribulation, I don't want ANYONE in my house long term. :-)

Today is 74 at 9:35 but it is going up by abut 2 degrees every five minutes. Uffda, is right!

Oh, Sally - I am so sorry about you

You have to be going through weakness with such a high temperature!

I hope you take a shower very often and drink plenty of fluids...
And look for some shadow...

Tessa
