These may or may not apply to Cristi's problem, but I found them while googling around and thought they were interesting.

Click on the second one's PROBIOTIC link.

Good references, too.

Hi Sally,

Thanks for the links...they were very interesting. There does seem to be some indication that probiotics could help...and perhaps instead of trying to actively kill off the bad bacteria..we should introduce the good ones and let them do the job.

So some people here eat fermented foods. Is that to help the good bacteria like eating yogurt?

Cristi

Hi All!

Sally, these are great references! Would you please note them in the Research or Info on Diet Forums so they don't get lost? Thanks.

Love,

Polly

P.S. Cristi, I LOVE your avatar! What's his/her name?
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

Hi Polly,

This is my buddy Strider. He's a Lhaso Apso. I have his sister Katie too. They are sweeties and have been on duty taking care of me through my illness. I'm a huge dog and cat lover and used to help with low cost spay/neuter programs. I started one in Ohio where I was raised. I am looking forward to getting better and getting back to that as it is always a never ending job(unfortunately).

Love,
Cristi
