my Xperience with meds--

Post by barbaranoela »

Pepto is a no-no-----the *bismuth* was causing me throbbing sensations plus ringing in ear--only on left side of head???

Entocort---another non-no---that caused me some slurred speech and inablility to walk by myself??? I only took that for 2 days, I believe---to my GI it sounded like a *neurological issue starting but once I stopped I was ok---

The Pred. made me a mexican jumping bean--first time around--
The other times I had no effects--Xcept----my hair got fuller---nails got stronger ---but I do believe it did cause me some eye issues---nothing serious--just couldnt see with my old glasses

And Colazal was the anti-inflammatory that really kept me on my feet--
My GI kept me on it as a maintenance feature(three years) BUT when I developed this weird AFOP--last year----Acute FibrnousOrganized Pneumonia---in which my lungs were sprouting all these *spots*---(and I didnt even feel sick) only went to the ER cus drinking water was causing me *pain* between the middle of my chest??? One ER doc gave me Mylanta-saying it was acid reflux and signed me out---in walked the next ER Dr.Lawrence---checked over all the patients and when he got to me---said---I am a very over cautious ER doc.--fine---he did a dye contrast-Cat and this is what showed all the spots on my lungs---good thing he is that kinda doc. or else who knows where the heck I would be today---

Dr.s couldnt figure out what was going on----then lung surgery etc. BUT when I called my GI,from the hospital, he said STOP the Colazal NOW!!
After reading the write up on this weird *P* I came across a passage that said---the continuous usage of anti-inflammatories can cause repiratory problems----plus other frightening facts---
GI was very surprised that they didnt know about the things that could arise from continued usage of anti-inflammatories---too bad he didnt realize the consequences and take me off the Colazal sooner---we really dont know what the actual cause was ---so now I am a *neurotic* senior!!!!

Now I take nothing----with all the other meds. for BP etc---I usually get plugged up

I say I caught this from the plane but they said NO---so who knows ?

As long as I am still here thats ok by me

luv Barbara
