GF Drugstore items

Post by cludwig »

Hi Everyone...I just got back from the drug store and I can't figure this out. The natural stuff has ingredient lists as long as your arm. I was wondering if you guys were up to sharing the name of good products without gluten.

I'll go first....I found a great make up brand that contains nothing but minerals.....aka dirt..haha. But I tried it and it's pretty good stuff. You use a brush and just grind it into your skin. I have very dry skin and thought it would just cause my skin to flake but it didn't. Even better is that it doesn't settle into fine lines (okay...wrinkles). They also said it doesn't support bacteria growth so it never spoils.
The name of the stuff is Larenim and you can read more and find a store near you by going to www.larenim.com.

Does anyone have any ideas about ..liquid pump hand soap, shampoo., conditioner, everyday body lotion. I'll keep you posted if I come up with any other GF finds. Thanks.
Love,
Cristi

I haven't really looked much gor GF lately. But I did find a Butter spread that is called Smart Balance. It is GF and it has Flax seed oil in the light version. My husband and I have always been BUTTER people til we used Smart Balance. I use it on everything and cheaper than butter (even the Generic Brand or store brand)

 Looks like some really interesting stuff. The mineral one really intrigues me. I sent the link to my sister.

I use Bare Escentuals exclusively and it is wonderful and GF Free. Have a number of botiques around the US and also sold through QVC. It is minerals only (dirt) without any additives at all.

I use Bare Escentuals also and really like it. One of the products has corn, think it's the finishing touch stuff (forgot the name).

Hi Maggie and Jean!

Based on your comments, I found a Sephora store in Cinci where they sell Pure Escentuals and tried the foundation powder. I really like it!

I have oily skin and break-outs sometimes, and this surpresses the shine and makes my skin feel very smooth.

Thanks for the tip!

Love,
Alice
