Happy 4th July to all of you USA people. Hope you all celebrated in an appropriate fashion. Sorry that I missed out on the right day but I was in Brisbane yesterday for my card day & Tuesday had Susie & Indiabeau here. Anyway better late than never.

Years ago, Spain had a Patron known as SANTIAGO but then each part of Spain decided to celebrate their own local Patron and (I assume, because we have too many festivities) they decided to cancel the main one and allow each town to enjoy the day of their Patron or Patroness.
The festivity of the town where I live is known as del Rosario Virgin, in Spanish: Nuestra Virgen del Rosario (on October the 7th).
We have 1 week of FIESTAS (Festivities) with a full programme of different activities... (many local shops close and others work less hours...)
