Emergency Contact Information :phonecall:

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Concerning Jean's post about contact information for members whom we are concerned about if/when they suddenly stop posting for no apparent reason, or any emergency situations that might arise, where we might need to contact each other, since the general consensus of opinion seemed to be in favor of this, I've set up a hidden forum where members can post their own contact information, and view other members' information.

Obviously this option is available only to members who have posted enough, or have otherwise given us good reason to feel comfortable about sharing such information with them. This forum is not visable to the outside world, nor is it visable to members who do not have the necessary permission to see it. As best I can tell, at the moment, everyone who is an active member should qualify for this.

If you would like to be able to access this forum, simply let me know in a response to this post, PM me, or email me, and I will set up the necessary permission for you to do so. Once you are able to see this forum, please don't forget to post your own contact information there.

The forum is located in the Personal/Lifestyles catagory, and is called Member Contact Information - For Emergency Use Only.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Love,
Tex

Ok, all three of you should be able to see and use the forum now. It's not necessary to enter any kind of code to see it, since the permission is automatically added to your profile, and the system will automatically regulate viewing priviliges by means of cookies planted in your browser.

If you ever have any problems viewing it, try clearing your cookie cache, (in your browser), and that should solve the problem. It never hurts to clear the cookies out, because the system will automatically set new ones, each time you log on. Cookies sometimes become corrupt after a while, so clearing the cookie cache usually resolves other navigational problems that might turn up, also, such as the system continually logging you off against your will.

If you have any problems, please let me know.

Love,
Tex

Maggie,

You're all set up, so you should be able to acces the forum.

Liz,

I checked the permissions, and I don't see anything wrong. Please check again. You should be able to see a forum named Member Contact Information - For Emergency Use Only, listed right above the Birthday Room.

If you still can't see it, try clearing the cookie cache in your browser, and trying again. If it still doesn't work after that, please let me know, because it should be working.

Love,
Wayne
