I'm assuming that burps originate in the stomach, and any gas farther down the digestive tract normally goes in the other direction, (at least I hope so, since I wouldn't want to belch up any methane, or other noxious fumes). Manipulating the stomach, probably helps to disloge air pockets, and it encourages belches.

I can visualize how a clockwise massaging action might help to promote normal peristaltic motion in the colon, which would serve to assist digestiion, since the direction of flow in the lumen is in a clockwise direction, (at least it is in humans).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Cristi,

Here's the Digestive Enzyme I'm taking along with Beano.
http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/b ... id=SR-5130

As far as fructose you cand find more here:
http://nutritiondata.com
Click on the Tools button on the page.
Select "Nutrient Search Tool"
then in the "that are highest in" drop down select fructose
on the bottom drop down "based on levels per" select 100 gram serving
then click the "Show me!" button.

This first list contains the top 41 of all foods, though I mainly concentrate on avoiding high fructose fruits. See second list below. I try not to eat too much in a day or too much at a time. Mainly foods that are less than 2500 mg fructose per 100 g of food. I mainly eat berries (not dried and not blueberries), oranges, peaches, pears, pineapple or avocados as these are pretty low in fructose.

Thanks Mike,

I am going to print this out so that when I start experimenting with food I will have this. Thanks for the name of the enzyme too. Sounds like it is worth a try.

Love,
Cristi
