Thank you ALL

Post by Carol Arnett »

Good afternoon......I just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers for my husband, Harry. They ARE working. I just saw him and he is getting better. He has had Pneumonia and Sepsis plus some cardiac issues. He went into Atrial Fibrilation several times in the past few days and the Cardio wants to implant an AICD.....defibrilator.....
directly into his heart. I don`t know when this will occur because I have not been able to talk to the Cardio. When he talked to Harry about it, he was so out of it, he didn`t really understand it all.

Our daughter, Lori, is going up for the first time tonight to visit him. I have kept both her and grandaughter away until cultures came back because I didn`t want them getting anything that might be contagious.

Anyhow, Lori is an RN and is going to look over his chart and ask some questions that I really don`t know to ask. I will probably know more after that.

Again, thank you all for your prayers and I hope you will continue them.

Love, Carol

Thank goodness you have Lori, Carol. I don't know why it is, but doctors unfailingly talk to their patients about complicated stuff when they KNOW they are out of it and not taking it in.

I am so glad that Harry is getting better. He has had a rough road. You, too. I hope that you are getting some rest somewhere along the way.

Lots of love,

Sally

Hi Carol:

I forgot to tell you. I have a friend who had a fibrulator inserted a few months ago and is doing really well. She siad it takes a bit of getting used to, but she is happy with it and says her life has definitely changed for the better.

Maybe you'd like to pass that on to Harry.

We're all thinking about him and waiting for good news.

Love - Momster

Morning Carol,

I am so happy to hear that Harry is on the mend.

I really do think doctors should be required to have a family member present when they speak with patients who are so sick or out of it that they cannot understand what they are being told. And when they start using medical jargon instead of plain English, it gets even worse.

Love, Maggie
