Still around

Post by m »

Hey all,
Just a quick note to say I'm still around. I've been extremely busy at work and home lately. A mastodon skeleton was found recently in SE Michigan and my museum has been asked to clean and stabilize the bones. We've gotten a lot of press and a ton of visitors so we've all been working non-stop. Hope to be able to catch up on posts soon.
Hope everyone is well.

Wow. How many of us can say we haven't been around because of finding a mastodon?

That's fascinating!!

Love,

Mastodon Madness is over, for now. I wish I could say I was doing something glamorous with the bones but my job is crowd control and calling 911 when people pass out from waiting in line in for 45 minutes in 95 degree heat. We had 4 days of free demonstrations while our paleontologist cleaned the bones. Several thousand people showed up. I'm pals with the paleontologist so I guess if I asked he'd let me work on the bones but I'm just too damn tired now. All I want to do now is stay cool and not talk to anyone.
