Friend is not to be found.
Hi all,
I'm concerned because a friend who always e-mails at least once a day, or else tells me when she's going to be a way a few days, hasn't written her usual "report" of her day or responded to my e-mails the last couple of days.
Also, no one answers their phone at home, even later in the evening, and these folks don't go out after dark. They've not responded to my recorded message, either.
If I don't hear something by tomorrow, I'm going to use their cell phone number as by then, I'll be frantic with concern.
My friend isn't likely to have gone out of town on a Wednesday for overnight as she has a scheduled activity for every Thursday morning.
Another concern I have is that the lady wasn't feeling too well on Sunday, but the last e-mail I'd received, after a couple of days of illness, she'd said she was all better.
Wednesdays, she goes to a water aerobics class for seniors, so I'm thinking that if she were feeling better on Wednesday morning, that she might've gone to that, so it concerns me that something might've happened in transit there, or that something could've happened during the exercise session.
Lady has some heart arrhythmia problems, so one never knows.
It's not like me to just assume something is wrong, but this I just can't figure out.
If no one answers her cell phone, I just might check at the hospital to see if she's been admitted or something.
This ever happen to any of you?
Thanks for listening!
Yours, Luce

Good luck Luce........
I understand how concerned you are and I hope you find that all is well.
If it were just the e-mails I'd think maybe she was having computer problems but since you have been phoning also that kind of puts a different light on it.
I hope you find her and that she is OK. You are a great friend.
Love, Shirley

I wouldnt wait---use the cell phone---and I would also call the police--
If you and your friend have this communication + her heart issues and not hearing from her---I would call the POLICE--
As U said--one never knows--

Lucy,
I definitely second what Barbara said. It is just really strange that she dropped out of communication that quickly. Is it possible that you know where she goes for water aerobics and could call them to see if she ever showed up for the class?

Luce,
You say "they" and "their" so I assume she has someone living with her. It's strange the both of them aren't answering the phone. I agree with Miss BN and Maggie, call the police and have them investigate. Better to be wrong and be embarrassed a little than have something really nasty going on.
I hope you find your friend and that she is okay.
Love,
Sally

Hi,
Thanks for the good suggestions.
Did call on the cell phone, and they were headed home. I could actually hear the rain, and the radio while they were fumbling around finding the phone! Ha!
They've been making quick trips very frequently lately due to a sick relative.
Think she meant to call when they got there, but then one thing lead to another, and didn't get it done. She probably figured I'd just think her computer was on the fritz, and she would've e-mailed tonight anyway.
Good thing that came out of this is that we've decided to make a list of emergency contacts, should any real emergency come up. I think it's a good idea for everyone to think about all kinds of possible scenarios, particularly in the uncertain world of today.
Thanks for hearing me out on this one.
Glad I had good news to report back!
