Greetings from my corner of the world
Hi Friends,
It's good to see that you are all still here and helping not only each other and me but all the newbies as well. I have always loved you guys. I am in the fortunate situation that I am so well that I hardly ever "need" you like I used to, desparately need you, that was how it was, yes sir. So once again, Thank you very much for everything you have done for me, I will be forever thankful and happy, very happy to have my life back.
I am selfishly pursuing my new interest: Training for a marathon that I will run in December but first I have a 1/2 coming up in October. I know, it bores you, right - OK, that's normal and no problem.
I am also involved with our business, keeping it running smooth, improving it, changing things around and surviving it.
More importantly, this summer I took upon me to improve my mothering duties; I signed both of my kids up for Swim Team and took them to practice and meets for 2 or so months. They had the final swim meet last week end. It's been good - they enjoyed it and improved tremendously. I am thinking about signing them up for year round swimming; but I need to make sure I can commit to it because I will be doing a lot of getting them up early, motivating them to go, and driving them from place to place. It has been wonderful to be able to depend on my body to function well enough to do all this with my kids. I needed to give them this experience of succeeding on a small scale in a sport.
WOW, guess what else I am going to do shortly;;;;;;...........
I just purchased tickets for the boys and I to go to Denmark and visit my whole entire family and a couple of old friends I still maintain contact with - we are going to go for 14 days in September. It's been a long time since we were there last - I am so excited
Great big HUGZ and LOVE coming your way from my corner - blow kisses and much more!!
Love,
Karen
P.S. Did you guys see that Michael Rasmussen won the Tour de France stage today?! He is too cool for me; I'm so happy for him and proud

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the update. Hey, it's great to know that you have your life back. You've always been an inspiration, and you are obviously living you life to the fullest.
That's an exciting trip that you have planned. It's something that your sons will remember forever, and we can only imagine how happy your family and friends will be to see you and your sons.
I hope you can continue to keep us updated, at least once in a while, and I wish you the best of luck with your marathon training.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi Karen,
Yes, hearing about the good is great too. I remember how helpful it was to me when I first started coming here and the others were laughing and talking about the things they could do, and situations they could get through. Gives us hope.
While I can't quite understand the desire to run a marathon, especially one that requires training in SC in the summer, I do wish you a good time with that. I ran cross country in high school and those 3 mile races were more than enough for me. We did a "special" meet one time and did a 5k. OUCH! Of course that one was 3 miles up the mountain, then 3 miles down.

KAREN!!!!
Yay! I'm so happy that you don't have a single whine or complaint, or report on Norman. I really really hope you stay in touch, because without it, people don't realize it's possible to get your life back. Besides that, I love the way you write, and your "take no prisoners" attitude.
I don't think hearing about the marathon is boring at all!
Love, Marsha
