Hoot Owls and a bird I don't recognize
We heard our Hoot Owls outside the trailer the last few nights. They are back...We haven't heard them for a long time til now. I need to look it up on the net.... about thier habits etc...they are so cool. And Tex, you may know what bird this is or Maggie....It looks like a blue jay except is is the most brillant color of gold. Solid Color. Gorgeous bird. We have seen it only a few times. But I have planted sun flowers and other flower that birds love. I hope to attract alot of birds. Any advice on what to plant?? Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
Don't you just love to hear the Hoot Owls. It's a most wonderful sound.
There are a couple in Florida where our place is and it's great to listen to them.
Since I don't know what kind of plants grow in Texes, I'm going to leave that question alone.
Happy listening,
Shirley

Hi Oma,
I don't have any experience in selecting plants to attract birds, except that I've noticed that bobwhites love vetch, and doves love sunflowers and dove weed, (croton). Here's a site with some information on garden plants that attract birds:

I don't recall ever seeing a bird such as you described, anywhere I've been in Texas.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
