Hi Peggy
I am here, just been a bit busy. Had to go to Brisbane yesterday to see a Urologist about some problems I have been having. He is the same one that they called in when my ureter was cut during the bowel op. A really nice man & one that I am sure will do what he can to help me with my problems. I am booked in on 25th September to have some more tests. Have been having quite a few blood & urine tests done of late as my GP feels there are a couple of things that need looking into. All of the test results are not back as yet but she is hopeful they will be by the time I see her again next week. Will know more then. She is very thorough & is making sure she does not miss anything. I am home all day today so am having a practice run in recording my input & out put. Got to measure everthing for two whole days before I go for the tests in Brisbane.

Hi Shirley
The urology is just part of the problem. My doc spotted something in my blood & urine rests that had her a bit concerned so she has been sending me for more tests just about weekly. I asked my son-in-law about one of them, for Bence Jones Protien, & he said not to be alarmed because although a positive could be a pointer to something nasty, there are other things, not so nasty that it could be. In any case, the results that have come back so far look pretty good. She said that there was no sign of them in what has come back. She mentioned another thing that was not quite right when I spoke to her in the phone that I did not quite get the gist of but will ask her about it when I see her next week. Should know soon what the problem is. Going to have a cystoscopy as well as urodynamic test next month. Could not get in before 25th September. Urologist is having some of the tests redone as he said one sample is not enough & you need to do three. He said bladder problems I have been having could be caused by several things, nerves from my back, a little tumour or even a staple or bit of the support stuff left in after my bowel op in 2004 that may have gone wandering.

Don't you hate to think that they sometimes leave stuff in us when they "go in"!!!!!!
Well, good luck with all the tests and I hope they find something simple that they can fix easily which solves your problem.

Thanks people. It is going to be OK, I know. Just another little hiccup I expect. If there is any real problem I will jump that fence when I come to it. No sense in getting my knickers in a knot over something that may not happen. Have been doing a lot of sewing, takes your mind off things. At least I may get more quilts & stuff actually quilted. I have made 4 tops since Christmas & the only one that has been quilted is the one that I made for Balan & took to New Zealand in April. Have to get crackin'
Crocheting like mad as well. Have almost finished another Van Dyke rug. Will post some pics soon.

Liz,
You are always such a trooper.....an inspiration to us all. So sorry to hear about the plumbing problems - when it rains it pours, eh? My guess would be on something related to the bowel surgery (only because problems are usually more likely to be due to an old cause rather than a new one).
Anyway, best wishes no matter what it is. I will send my best vibes for benign test results.

Polly
