Are allergy meds ok for MC? I have terrible itching, seeping eyes, and lots of allergy drainage. Miserable, especially first thing in the morning.
Anyone know if it is ok to take something? OTC does not work - tried it all!
Thanks!

hello!
Hey Mars :)
As far as I know, antihistamines are OK! Whatcha takin? Allegra?
FYI, I've been researching, and it sounds like seasonal allergies directly affect our colitis - in other words, if our seasonal allergies are worse, then if we have intolerances to foods, those too will be worse... I believe it's called the 'allergic load' and pretty much means that when your body is already sending out histamines to attack OTHER allergies, it's also more likely to attack your food. So you'd do well to do everything in your power to reduce and control environmental allergies. If you're allergic to dust mites, you should probably do a major overhaul cleaning of your bedroom.
