As usual, that financial advisor is too late. Corn futures responded to that possibility a couple of months ago.
Gasoline is too cheap? The last time I checked, ethanol was selling for around $1.85 in Austin, and gas and diesel was crowding $3.
The problem is, most of us don't have access to alternative fuel choices. It's not very practical to drive 100 miles or more, just to fill up. That kinda defeats the purpose.

Thoughtful post. I always enjoy your observations and comments. You're absolutely correct, of course - it is difficult to find an exact money trail to an individual. Some of these skeptics serve as members of institutes (like the Marshall or the Cato Institute) that are heavily funded by EXXON Mobil. I'll send you much more on this by email if you are interested. If you want a specific example: In Ross Gelbspan's book, "Boiling Point", it states that Lindzen received up to $2500 per day to consult with coal and oil interests in the 1990s, a fact that Lindzen himself does not dispute.
And I totally agree with you about the onesidedness of the Lindzen letter in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Of course it was in the "opinion" section and not presented as fact. However, you are absolutely correct about the quality of the indepth articles in the WSJ. I have read some in that paper on the impact of global warming that I think are superb.
