"Killer" Bees Kill Arizona Man
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
This is so very sad and it makes me so angry that people have "imported" so many undesirable things .... kudzu... starlings ... and lots more that excape me at the moment. Really irritating.

If I remember correctly, the "Killer" bees were imported into South America, so the U S Govt. knew they were coming for years before they got here. They were talking about stopping them in Central America, but the bees apparently moved faster than the Govt, expected. When they got to Texas, Texas Dept of Agriculture, (TDA), had plans to stop them in the Valley, but the bees whizzed right through the Valley, and right through here, (Central Texas), while TDA stood helplessly by and "monitored" their progress.
About a year after they came through there, a neighbor and his brother accidentally discovered a colony in an old barn, on the next farm up the creek from us. They were doing some cleanup work in the yard, about 200 feet from the barn, when the bees suddenly came swarming toward them. Luckily, they beat the bees back to their pickup truck, and watched as the bees completely covered the pickup, trying to sting the steel and glass. They had a mighty close call, to say the least.
We still have to watch for them, but we've been very lucky, so far, with very few fatal attacks in Texas.
