Hi everyone!!!!!!!
Life's been extremely busy this week. Sorry for not being around more.
Work's been a nightmare and I've been so tired when I get home that I read but don't have the energy to post. Hopefully it will be better next week.
Monday, 8/21 we welcomed my great-nephew to the world. I was in the delivery room with her and her parents. Dad isn't in the picture but I'm sure gonna be!!!!!!! He is just adorable! His name is Landan Edward. Mom and baby are fine. He weighed 6 -13 and was 20 inches long!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I'm looking forward to next weekend - 3 day weekend for us!
My love to all,
Mars

Awe, shucks
Yes, funding came through - all at once in within a few days. Boss was complaining that I wanted to spend it all since we haven't paid much more than payroll and bank loans in a few months. It got very scary for awhile.
We are in the midst of a lawsuit against a contractor who took the money and ran and didn't pay his vendors. What a mess. I have to go to court Monday to testify. We have him dead to rights on insurance fraud now. What a mess.
Today is Jordan's 4th birthday so we are going to a party tomorrow! She is so excited. Nichole's is Monday. Whew, August is busy for my side of the family.
Love,
Mars

Hiya Mars Bar!
I can relate to how busy you've been recently. Me too! I thought life was supposed to slow down as we got older. NOT, huh?
Landan is really a cutie-pie. And so alert for a newborn. Congrats!

Hi Mars. Isn't he just a most beautiful baby. You were so lucky to have been there at his birth. It is a wonderful experience, to see a new little one emerge. I was at the birth of our first grandchil, Nikki & it was the most awe inspiring occasion I had ever been privileged to be a part of. Would not have missed it for quids. Landan is quite an unusual name. How was it chosen? Congratulations to all & welcome to the new little person.
Love

Hi Margie,
I just got to wondering . . . have you had your thyroid checked lately? Do you have any signs that it might need checking? like cold hands or feet, fatigue, hair falling out, eyelashes falling out, really dry alligator skin on your shins?
Oh yeah, HI!!! I hope you're having a good day.
Love, Marsha

Hi Marsha - you're so funny!
No recent check but none of those symptoms either. Something is definitely going on though. My hands and feet seem to loose blood circulation and my face feels like little needle pricks this morning. I'm wondering if my blood preasure isn't out of wack. Fatigue is always an issue!
I don't know what the heck is wrong with me except for extreme stress both at home and at work. I am trying to "maintain" but it doesn't help sometimes.
Thanks for the questions. Makes me stop and think and identify the problems. Now to get a result and a quick fix (yea right!).

When was the last time you went to the doc? And did you mention those particular things?
Marsha
Marsha
It's been awhile since I went to the doc, and the problems are fairly new (month maybe?). Guess it's time.
Thanks,
Mars

Hi Mars,
I'm not a doctor, and this is not medical advice, of course, but the symptoms you mention, (including the sensations in your face, hands, and feet), could be caused, or exacerbated by, a vitamin B12 deficiency. Are you taking a good subliminal form of B12, (just in case).
Many of us seem to have malabsorption problems which only seem to apply to certain nutrients, and B12 may be one of the worst offenders.
I thought that I was getting plenty of B12 in my diet, but after experiencing worse and worse fatigue each day, a couple of weeks ago, I started taking sublingual B12 again, (after a hiatus of a couple of months), and I was amazed at how quickly my energy returned. It wasn't quite as good as discovering the "fountain of youth", but it was an eye-opener for me.
Love,
Tex

Mars,
Landon is BEAUTIFUL!
Maybe a visit to the doc would be a good idea. Or try sub B12?
The brand I take is GNC B-12 1000, no sugar, no starch, no artificial colors, no preservatives, sodium free, no wheat, no gluten, no soy, no dairy, yeast free but contains Phenylketonurics:Phenylalamine. What brand are you taking Tex or anyone else. I take once a week and also find it helps with my energy levels.
Love,
Joanna

Hi,
I take Biochem a sub-line of Country LIfe vitamins that can be purchased at Whole Foods and other health food stores.
It's also free of all my allergens.
The sublingual form that I have contains 3000 of B-12, 400 of Folate, and 50 of Vit C. It's important to take B-12 with Folate, and I also try to take a B-6 along with it which is not sublingual. You could easily break one of these B6's up into smaller pieces, and probably do fine with a much smaller amount of B-6. There's still another B vit that is recommend to take with B-12, but I can't remember what it is. Anyone know?
If you aren't eating regular bread and grains, then you're not getting the folate that is a government requirement to be added to these grain products.
Why not try the B-12 first, and see if you notice any improvement. I had neuro symptoms from my deficiency, even though it was slightly above the 200 level as low end of normal which should be changed to 400, but progress is slow!
Let us know if that's the problem, ok. Your doc would probably want to recommend how much you take if you're going to continue taking it.
When you take the sublingual form, much more is absorbed than if you take the oral form.
Also, be sure that whichever one you get, that it's the METHYL from of B-12, and NOT the CYANO form.
This would be the first part of the generic name on the bottle. (See inside the little square on back if you can't find it elsewhere.)
I recommend you do this right away, just in case you really are deficient.
Yours,
Luce

Hi Joanna,
I take Solaray, (Mfg. by Nutraceutical Corp.). I either take a 1000 MCG lozonge that includes 400 MCG of folic acid, daily, or I take a 5000 MCG lozonge, (without folate), about once a week. My multivitamin contains 400 MCG of folic acid, (plus everything else that is essential), so I don't really need another seperate dose with the B-12.
Love,
Tex
