Important Discovery That May Help Treatment Of IBDs

Post by tex »

Hi All,

I put this link in the News Releases of Interest forum, but I thought that it was important enough to put here, also, since it makes some very interesting observations about topics that we have been discussing recently:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Here's a similar study in 2003, though perhaps they didn't have the specific thing as it only says Reg III and not Reg IIIgamma.

Wayne,
This is very interesting.
I wonder what Dr. Fine thinks of it.
Although he was primarily a researcher at the Baylor Med in Dallas for many years, I believe he also did somethings over at Southwestern Med School some, which is also in Dallas.

Wayne, I know that you knew this, but just thought I'd mention that the two med schools are in Dallas, in case anyone didn't realize where they were. Think it's interesting that all this is happening in the same city. I hope they are communicating with each other -- Immunology and GI Depts.

Yours, Luce
