Off on our September vacation for a week. We'll be leaving first thing tomorrow morning. First stop, a loverly log chalet with a fire place and jacuzzi. We'll be going to a few different towns and stopping to visit with friends along the way. It looks like we may have some pretty decent weather to end off summer.
When I get back to work I start handling some new duties...as part of my job reclassification and raise!

Log cabin with a jacuzzi...sounds divine! I'm green with envy. We've been so busy we haven't even really had our hot tub running the last month or so. Its also getting to the point where its too cool to warm it up just in an evening and it does cost too much to run 24/7.

Sounds like you plan to really rough it this time. I hope the weather does cooperate - traveling should be nice this time of year. Will you be taking the sled and dog team on this trip, or more conventional transportation? LOL.

Okay, so I'm a day late.
The vacation was wonderful! No slips, trips, or falls. We enjoyed the first place we went to so much we stayed for six whole days! Had deer eating the lawn right in front of our cozy little chalet almost every day (and, no, for those of you that remember...I didn't run any of them over!)
Had quite the time catching up on all my work yesterday, it sure would be nice if it magically got done while I was away
Looks like I'll be keeping pretty busy with some of my new functions. Guess I'm gonna hafta start earning my pay LOL.
Will find some time to catch up on all the posts.

Boy did we miss you! Did you plan to go on vacation ON PURPOSE this past week? (LOL because there are more birthdays then than any other time of the year!). Although Wayne filled in for you admirably.
Happy to hear you had a great time and especially happy to hear about the wildlife and NO INJURIES. Good luck settling into your new job. Have you let them know yet that we MCers have a right to check out our board here any time of the working day???
