I just have to chatter away----bad day--thats all

Post by barbaranoela »

This early morning I found a box of pictures which were hidden under another box of junk

As I luve looking and relooking @ picures I took the box,sat on the floor, and began to open each booklet--

Pictures I totally forgot I had---- and

My dad and mom---holding me when I was a baby---shots of me growing up--communion---confirmation--etc.

Then Louie---Doug and Robert-- Holidayz---Robert sleeping on the couch---me and Doug(so handsome) and vibrant---
Lynn @ her shower---so beautiful and she is---
Deb graduating from high---and stunning as the Maid-of-Honor @ Lynn's wedding---

All holidaz @ my home----everybody laughing---unwrapping gifts--table full of food---wrappings all over the floor---Christmas Tree lights shinning-and the little village I used to set up on my living room windowsill
Then me in Fall River---with all my aunts--uncles----@ the beach--horsing around---clam digging for *pissers* (thats what they were called) we would stomp on the wet sand---see them squirt up---start digging and then grab them by the little neck--so that they could be boiled for snacks----swimming---I always wanted to be Esther Williams
Me with my foot on a big shovel pretending I am planting in the garden that my grandpa tended to every year--picking the grapes from the little vineyard he had in the back of the house---
And with my Uncle Joe(2 years older than I) who always insisted I NEVER call him UNCLE when his friends were around---but I did

Weddings----dancing---happy~~~
Then there is Noreen---Dina and Dawn--all gone
My smiling family not here---
Noreen's Dan remarrying-- happy again

And all,Xcept for my Uncle Muscles(Walt-but he liked Muscles) and my Aunt Joan still here---

My oldest and dearest friend, from childhood, who was my maid of honor,Elaine--we talk and remember old times---

And then a picture of my mom dancing with Robert---

Two letters I wrote home, when I spent summers in Fall River, dated 1946--telling mom how miss them---how I spent my money downtown--Aunt Jean buying me a new bathing suit----

My grandpa@ babci @ my wedding----granpa(dont know how to spell it in Polish) doing the POLKA with me---his handlebar mustache perfectly situated---in English he knew---*good girl Barbara*
Roberts wedding---Doug was ring bearer(who refused to give up the rings)---Deb and Lynn flower girls-

The part of my life that has passed---yet so wonderful to have those memories rekindled inside of me---

I totally, not forgotten, I guess just pushed back in my mind all these happy thoughts--

Yes, and I   "d

 Of course you cried..........who wouldn't. What wonderful memories you have and how precious they are to you. Isn't it great to be able to recall those wonderful moments with our loved ones.

Barbara,

Your memories brought a ton flooding back to me too and I am sitting here crying like you. I went through pictures right before vacation and realized it is just me and my brother left - the rest all gone. I miss my sister so.

However, the pictures brought you happy memories as well as sad ones, so cherish the happy ones and realize the people in the sad memories are very, very happy where they are.

Love you, Maggie

Comforting words are so important---thank U both---

And Maggie, how I understand----
Robert was all I had and Lou's mom only had him!!!!!

Life is wonderful---and yet so sad @ times~~~~~but when the memories are like watching a re-run it does the spirit good~~~
