Moderators and Admins - I Need Your Input

Post by tex »

It appears that there is some interest in offering T shirts with our Potty People logo on them. The question is, how should we design them? Should we use a small image, or a large one, (how small or how large?)?

Should we include the words "The Potty People", as it's displayed on our board, or leave that off. Should we add anything else, or not? Comments? Ideas? Opinions?

Should I set up a page to sell them, or should we give them out at PPGs, or give them to anyone who asks, or offer them as an incentive for registering, or forget the whole idea, or what? Should we ask the general membership for opinions?

Thanks,
Tex

Tex, can you think of another question??

Other than a PP gathering, I can't imagine anyone wearing one. Can you?
I think it would be difficult for me to wear one just anywhere.

Perhaps we could ask how many would actually want to buy one (include names). Maybe in the PP Gathering sign up room.... Just trying to think where else we could keep a record of it. That would seem the easiest place. When we get a determined number of requests, then we could have them printed.

I think if your're going for the logo, go for the whole thing.
1. Logo on back (perhaps medium size) - The Potty People on left front of chest (not too big).
2. Logo and Potty People on back (medium size).

I'm not visualizing anything else at the moment.

I'm not sure about polling everyone. I could get pretty confusing I think, but perhaps we'd get some great ideas.

LOL. This was suggested by our newest member, AerobicMamma, who, I assume, would wear one to the classes she teaches. She seemed really disapointed that we didn't have any available.

I don't believe that I would wear one either, but not because of the logo - I just don't wear T shirts. If I wore them, a Potty People T shirt would probably be my first choice, (but then I've always been a weird dresser - when I was in high school, I wore blue suede cowboy boots, for example).

We could probably sell more to non-members than to members - some people are always looking for something different. LOL.

If we wanted to "test the waters" on the board, it would be easy to set up a "registration" post, asking who would be interested in buying one, who might consider buying one, and who would definietly not buy one. Or, we could ask who would wear one, who might wear one, and who wouldn't be caught dead in one. LOL.

Love,
Tex

I would also suggest the poll you mentioned in the last post, Wayne. I for one, would NOT wear one - I do wear T shirts but don't know where I would wear this one. It is bad enough I'm in the pot but to advertise??? LOL

I would suggest a small logo on the front breast (Pocket area) and possibly something on the back (what...I don't know).

I'd start with the poll.

Hi Wayne and fellow mods!

I guess I'm kinda weird. I would wear one - probably when working out or jogging on the trail. I think it would be a great way to start a conversation and/or to do a little education of the public! Of course, my hubby and especially my teenage son would probably not be caught dead being seen with me. LOL!

I like the poll idea and the pocket/back for the logo.

Wayne, I'm curious. If you don't wear tees, what do you work in? Do you wear nice shirts to haul those heavy bags around? And wow! I would've definitely looked twice at you wearing those blue suede boots. Now that's very cool.

Love,

Polly

Hahahahaha. Those boots were inspired by Elvis Presley's song, Blue Suede Shoes, of course. They were kinda nifty boots - wish I still had 'em. LOL.

I always wear long-sleeved cotton shirts. I developed that habit early on, because anytime I worked in corn fields, my arms would itch like mad, if they contacted any corn leaves, (or any other plants, for that matter), and they would continue to itch, until I washed them thoroughly with soap and water. Long-sleeved shirts were/are a simple preventative, so they're de rigueur for me. For the same reason, I don't wear shorts, either.

Love,
Wayne

 I knew you were going to say long sleeved shirt, but was wondering if it would be flannel.

LOL. It's too hot for flannel here in Texas, most of the year. Incidentally, I once bought a flannel shirt, (made in Taiwan, or some such place), and every time I wore it, I got a bad rash, (it would last for several days), on the right upper arm. Each time it was washed, I would think that the problem would be eliminated, but, I would still get the rash. After several cycles of wash, wear, and rash, I finally got the message and gave it to one of my brothers, but I warned him about the rash risk. I don't know if he ever got up the nerve to wear it, or not. I still wonder what it had in the fabric on that arm.

Hey all-
I have never in my entire life worn a t shirt with a brand, logo, membership , or conviction enbazoned upon it. I don't intend to start now. Hahahah! Call me crazy just don't call me lazy

Long ago their was a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon

Calvin: I wish my shirt had a logo or product on it. A good shirt turns the wearer into a walking corporate bill board. It says to the world " My identity is so wrapped up in what I buy that I paid the company to advertise its products.

Hobbes: You admit that?

Calvin: Oh sure. Endorsing products is the American way to express individuality.

Not quite the same with the Potty people shirts but it is not my thing. I am just not that wrapped up in it,

I gladly leave it up to those who so much enjoy it

Love

Tex, that was a wierd shirt!!

Matthew, thats perfectly all right. Doubt I'd ever wear it except to a PP Gathering or something. But I'll buy one "just in case".
