Our host "Bill" who purports to be a relative of Billy Miner.

Deer grazing by the remainder of the Castle wall. We stayed at a place called the Princeton Castle Resort (it was actually a cement plant way back when and they build a real castle!)

Deer grazing behind our cabins (yes, they are real).

The boudoir (our chalet). Check out the skylight above the jacuzzi tub

A shot of the loverly chalets.

Some of the glourious scenery taken from high above the resort.

Okay - now back to work! No more vacation until February...not counting a little time off at Christmas, though.

Love,
Peg

What, you get another vacation in February??? I'm in the wrong business.

Oh yeah, thats right, I'm saving up for the wedding/honeymoon!

Looks very relaxing. Geoff and I try to do an "us only" weekend once a year (i.e., no kids...vacations/time with them is great, but its nice to be adult for a weekend too) and this looks a lot like a place I had looked at for us in the Adirondacks. We didn't end up going because I moved that fall and then last year I was sick so we never got away. We did Milwaukee for his cousins wedding this year. Not completely as relaxing, but we did find some us time among the family time.

Too many vacation options, too little time off.

 Looks wonderful, Peg. What was the name of the place where you stayed?

Peg, the pictures are great and the place looks lovely. Where was it located and what was it called? Put that down in my places to stay some day. I have till next September for vacation but it is already planned and booked and deposited. Thinking ahead now to 2008 since it will be an island that only books 30 people at one time and you have to book early.

Love, Maggie

The place is called The Princeton Castle Resort.

http://castleresort.com/

If you take the virtual tour of the one bedroom chalet you'll see exactly the chalet we stayed in. There's a huge playground for kids, a large barbecue pit for crowds (but each chalet has it's own barbecue), as well as camping and motorhome facitilies.

I believe there's a map on the site, too.

Hugs
