Polls relevant to Microscopic Colitis, and related issues, can be posted here, to allow for the collection of data that might help to shed some light on this disease, and it's treatment options.
I have no idea of the level of prevalence of gag reflex problems in the general population, but I've noticed that there seems to be a relatively high percentage of members of our board, with problems of this nature. I have the problem, for example.
As a result, I'm wondering if this might be associated with MC, or if it's just a coincidence. I would appreciate if you would vote for the poll selection that best describes your own situation.
Thanks,
Tex
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I voted yes, sometimes. During the last colonoscopy and endoscopy...I never woke up when they were busy on the lower end...but remember quite a bit when they were at the upper end...lots of gagging. I just assumed everyone had a problem with gagging.
I remember absolutely nothing about my endoscopy. Also, I don't gag very easily and I can take pills without gagging. I'm not saying I've never gagged on anything but it's really rare.

I actually do pretty well with large pills, but I do have a good gag reflex. At a recent ENT appointment, the doc tried looking at my throat and nose from the back of the throat.. No can do.
