Hi Cristi,

It's Jarrow Formulas Methyl B-12 5000 mcg.

Ingredients:
xylitol, cherry flavor, citric acid, magnesium stearate and stearic acid. It's about $26 for 60 pills, but if you take them every day for a week or two, then one a week, that would last you a good long time.

Talk to you soon! Marsha

Huh, not sure how I missed this thread. But I tried taking Betaine HCL just last week and had diarrhea for a week now. Finally a normal stool this morning.

Here's the supplement info:
Betaine HCL 1.3 g
Pepsin 1:3000, 260mg
Other ingred: natural polysaccharide capsule, microcrystalline
cellulose, and silicon dioxide.

Very intresting that you have the same problems as myself with this.

Ok, I just had an interesting thought. Thinking about the recent study showing that folks with Celiac were suffering an innate response to gliadin due to it looking like a virus.

What about something in this pill looking like a pathogen? Guess what else has a polysaccharide coating? ... bateria. Hmm... I wonder.

Heh, and guess what else is a polysaccharide that other folks here react to... Carrageenan.

Ok, this was rather interesting. Take a look at this article:
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/picren ... obtype=pdf

What I found interesting is that they found the problems occured only in rats, guinea pigs. And why does this person think that's the case, because their gut "flora" is different. Ok, and what happens in someone who (perhaps because of low acid) gets a bacteria that is normal to rat or guinea pig flora and not human? Might it be this reaction to carrageenan or polysaccharides? Might the body seen this bacteria before, built a defence and now when it sees a polysaccharide that looks like it try to fight it off?

Or might it be the opposite, might it be because of how these pollysaccharides react to the HPV or perhaps other virus?

Does anyone react to Pectins as well?

It turns out that Citrucel contains a chain of polysaccharides as well.

Mike,

I wish you could spend full time doing research......... You really have a knack for leaving no stone unturned.

Love,
