Country Life....Ahh!

Post by annie oakley »

I was driving home today after work and winding along the county road leading home, I saw A new born (minutes old) donkey. A farmer I know has a field full of them... he was soooo cute. All ears and all legs. Moved along a bit further and saw deer jumping the fences.....I had Clasical music on the CD player and was in heaven.
Just had to share folks, Love Oma

Yup, we went apple picking yesterday. Felt blessed to be in the country. And we were in the minority of Vermonters at the orchard yesterday...mostly out of state cars. Also went on a train ride and was in a similar situation there.

Didn't see much wildlife yesterday except a flock of migrating geese. Tis that time of year. Its raining too much today to go out, so will make some pies and crisp with the apples we picked yesterday (got a bushel). Thank god we also got a freezer!
