Busy Momster

Post by Momster »

Hi All:

A new project - learning how to sew. I haven't done it since high school (sewing, I mean) so took a couple of lessons and managed to finish a shirt for myself, so have a few projects in line and still beading, crocheting, etc. One day I must get to my computer/craft room re-organization, but started one day and haven't had time to finish.
I love learning new things, but overdid it a bit and the fibro kicked in yesterday afternoon so that slowed me down.
John keeps telling me he'll help, but that would definitely be like letting a bull loose in a china shop - this is one I have to do on my own!!!
I don't get here to post very often, but to peek in when I get up in the morning to see what everyone is up to.
Barbara - hope all is going better with Kait.

Love - Momster

Momster!!!!

Sewing is such a productive craft!!!! It's WONDERFUL to be able to make things yourself, in a size you can actually WEAR, and a fabric you actually LIKE that just might match those shoes you have..

I have all the equipment but haven't been able to sew since I got sick and moved... just no time!!!! one of these days I'll have my diet under control and my kids will be a bit older and I'll go back to sewing.. I miss it!!! The patterns are my LEAST favorite part tho! LOL once it's all pinned and ready to sew, I love it..

Hi Momster...so good to hear from you! Sounds like you are busy as usual...I am so impressed that you can sew...sometimes I wish I owned a sewing machine, but other times, I know how addicted I would become...same with knitting...haha.
Bye for now...Take Care...JJ

My Mom and the rest of the girls in her family are very good at sewing! I don't know what happend to me, I didn't get any of those genes! I can sew a straight line and that is pretty much it.

Enjoy yourself and send us a photo of your creations!

Hugs!

Hi Momster,

Glad to hear from you. Sewing is an awesome craft. I have a machine I must have purchased 20 years ago, a Singer and it still works like a charm. Don't do clothes but make lot's of banket throws, table cloths, curtains and such. Hand sewn items make wonderful gifts.

Happy sewing! Love, Joanna
