MC and warts...
Here's another thought on a similar idea with regards to MC.

I checked the second option, because I had several for many years, that went away on their own, after my gut healed.
I surgically removed one myself, though, years ago, because it was right under my belt line, which kept it irritated, and I was afraid if I just let it go, it would eventually become infected, or possibly become malignant. I simply sliced it off with a scalpel, and cauterized the spot, to stop the bleeding, and kill the "roots". It healed quickly, without even leaving a scar. I suppose that makes me a self-mutilator. LOL.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Gotta know, Tex - How did you cauterize the wound after slicing off the wart?
I have one on my left hand (on the palm just under my ring finger) that I can't get rid of. I've cut on it, I've frozen it many times. I can make it smaller but it just won't go away.

Shirley,
I used an electric soldering iron, which, incidentally, had a copper coated tip. I think I had read somewhere, that unless you kill the "roots", they will grow back, so I figured a soldering iron should do the trick, and it did.

Tex - OUCH!!!!! I doubt I'll be trying that one. I've worked with soldering irons before and it would CERTAINLY do the trick!!!
JJ, How long did it take for yours to go away using the saliva/penny treatment. Also, did you do that once a day, twice, or whenever you thought about it. If I had to keep it up for months, I'd fail sooner or later.
grannyh, I've used the Compound W Freeze off many times and that has given me the best results for making it smaller. But I have to use it several more times than the box advises. I make it sound like the thing is HUGE but it isn't - It's just a tough little bugger.

Tex, guess it figures that "self-diagnosed" would be A.K.A "self-treated"! You are a man of many talents.
Shirley, I like the duct tape treatment for warts. Even though warts are caused by a virus, there is a psychological component too. With kids, we used to draw a circle around the wart and tell them we were putting a magic potion on it (water). Many of them were wart-free on a followup visit. Go figure.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
The Blind Faith Technique!! I may be too old for that one but, hey, who knows??
OK. I'm going to try SOMETHING again. Maybe I'll start by freezing it again (just to make it small), then the duct tape and then the spit/penny. If that doesn't do it, then I guess it's part of the family.

Hi Mike,
Had a wart on elbow when I was a child and had it burned off. In the dacade of my thirties I had things on bottom of feet...they looked like callouses with little black roots ...used the acid patches and then resorted to the "Wayne Method" and surgically went after them. they always came back...then magically left for good after about 10 years. So, have you found an interesting study to link the wart virus to MC?
Love,
Cristi
