Well, at least the "western medicine" Drs as my GI dr put it. Talk about close minded. About the only thing had something real to reply about was when I asked him about the molecular mimicry with a virus in Celiac Disease. At least he read and heard of this, though the part about pollysaccarides must have went right over his head.
Where in the world can I find a GI dr that is open minded. At least he's now open to bacterial overgrowth, being that my small bowel xray had some indication of it. Showing diverticula (only 2 small ones) in the duodenal area. Without this he'd probably tell me fiber and imodium again, but then he did mention fiber and imodium anyway. What a nut! Sure let's do more symptom management.
The only good thing to come of it was that I got the paperwork from my labs.
Dexa scan, good. Small bowel followthrough X-ray good except for what I mentioned. No ttg, no ema etc antibodies. Iga not deficent.
I almost canceled the appt since I feel better than I did last week, but I wanted to try one more time to talk to him and to at least get the paperwork. Which in the end probably could have been sent via mail instead.
