Hate to post and run...

I'm sorry I haven't been around much - last week of school and all (I had to cook 300 taquitoes for the Kindergarten Fiesta, then run a station for 3rd grade Field Day - plus squeeze in a couple of emergency tutoring sessions with my 10th grade client who was panicking over finals )

So as of today at 12:30 all were done We are supposed to go camping up by Lake Tahoe tomorrow for the weekend....BUT we had rain here and they are predicting thunderstorms and possibly even SNOW at the higher elevations....but we are going with 2 other families and the kids are SOOO excited so we will probably pack our warm clothes instead of swimsuits and give it a try - if it is too bad we can come home early!

Oh yeah, and I caught my mischevous daughter chug-a-lugging Dimetapp this afternoon, so I made the call to poison control I remembered the bottle was less than half full, plus there was a pretty big spill on the floor - the person said she was fine but would probably be mellow and drowsy and go to bed early... (which was kind of a blessing given the week I had!) Despite the mayhem, Norm is my steady companion....

I will be packing etc. in the AM so I probably won't be able to check in. I will continue the prayers for Kait and will keep all of you in my thoughts. Be good while I'm gone

Yup, have a great weekend! Last week(s) of school are always so busy! Kayla got done yesterday. We have also been trying to be "big" girls for two weeks and sleep in our own rooms. We had told them after school got out, no more sleeping together on the futon in the playroom. Well Erin started it early, because the night before kindergarten orientation, she decided she was going to school, was a big girl and was going to sleep in her own room. Kayla of course couldn't be one upped by her little sister, so we have been trying, which means they are up until 10 every night because they just won't turn the lights out and go to sleep. Somehow have to get them over being scared.

It is just perfect there-----when my daughter Deb lived in Cali. we flew there once--picked her up and drove to Lake Tahoe----
Was a glorious trip---

I luved where she lived,in Cali, but CO. was always her dream and after 16 years in Cali---3 years in D.C. she finally made CO. her home---

And still looking for Mr. Perfect
