4 year anniversary coming up

Post by m »

Hi All,
I think my 4 year GFDF anniversary is coming up on Nov 1. As the slogan goes, "you've come a long way, baby!" I can remember how hard it was in the beginning trying to figure out what I could eat. I also remember feeling terrible for about 9 months. Now the diet is second nature and I only feel terrible occassionally, thank goodness. Still no medication. Best thing I ever did for myself though was to join this group. I can't thank you enough. Especially Sally who had the foresight to start the first site and Tex who has picked up the torch and run with it.
With much gratitude,
Melissa (m)

Congratulations Melissa,

You have come a long way. You know, it's kind of funny - I usually don't remember dates very well, (heck, I'm lucky to remember my own birthday), but I can remember the date I went GF. LOL.

Maybe we should start a GF registry forum, so that we can enter the dates when we GFers adopted the diet - it might be interesting for future reference. It might also be worthwhile to have a registry forum for those maintaining control by means of the most popular meds - say, Entocort and Asacol, for example. This could provide valuabe information for newbies, in the long run.

Anyway, , and thanks for the tip about the Enjoy Life cookies.

Love,
Tex

:cheerleader: Melissa!

I can't believe it has been 4 years! It seems like just yesterday that you were hiding the candy from yourself in your house. LOL!

Three cheers for you :cheerleader: :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

You deserve a huge pat on the back for your awesome accomplishment.

Love,

Polly

I'm very happy for you also, Melissa. In fact I'm in awe of all of you who have been GF and more for so long.
