Mars, Good Luck With Your Banquet Tonight!
I know you've put a lot of work into it, and I hope that everything goes smoothly. I also hope that your cold is much improved, and you're feeling well enough to enjoy the festivities tonight.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

You guys (and gals) are great! Thanks for the good wishes.
Yes, the banquet was a huge success! Everything went smoothly and the compliments just kept coming!
We are a housing development ageny so our theme was "Building a Brighter Future" and we capitalized on the word "building". Our decorations included children's plastic tools, "caution" tape used by construction firms and plastic hard hats! It was enjoyed by everyone and was a fun evening!
I am soooooo glad it is over - now onto our agency audit which begins on Tuesday. Being the Fiscal Director, (my MAIN job), my plate is still full but the craziness is almost over for the year.
Yes - I am exhausted but feel great that things went so smoothly! I don't have to report to the office until 9 (instead of 7:30) tomorrow but I'm still ready for bed!
Thanks again for your good wishes!
PS - We're gonna be on the local TV station tomorrow! Should be fun!
Love to all,
Mars

Joanna - are you kidding??????? LOL We are a non-profit and wages is usually the most costly expense we endure. Unfortunately, we didn't get a raise last year due to lack of funding and probably won't again this year. I'll keep my fingers crossed anyways!
Maggie - how in the world do you do this for a living? I wouldn't survive doing this every day, all day! WHEW!
Update: We have received numberous calls and visits complimenting us on our "good/excellent job" last night. They said that the video was of professional quality and very interesting and attention deserving! What welcome comments!
Thanks friends!

Hi Mars,
It basically was 1/2 to 3/4s of my last job and thought I had put it behind me other than to help a couple of charities I am associated with. To say help you know what I mean - you and only you do it.
With my new job I felt there would be nil but I am doing a party on 11/16 for the opening of a new complex we are building. Enjoying it more now that it is maybe once a year and much smaller crowd.
I know how much your feet hurt.
Love, Maggie
