My Chiropractor/Nutritionist App't

Post by kate_ce1995 »

Well, I had an appointment with a chiropractor who is also a nutritionist. I have not been feeling all that well lately, and my upper back/shoulders/neck have been stiff as heck.

Well, he worked on my shoulders and neck today. I feel a bit odd now, but it definately loosened things up.

But here is the other pieces of this. He is also a nutritionist. He thought the cramping/tight muscles sounded like a mineral imbalance. My blood pressure was high (higher than my normal borderline high), which he said can also be related to mineral imbalances. And while he was working on my back, I had to ask to sit up so I could get the burps out. He thought it sounded like low stomach acid, which can lead to poor nutrition intake (and is common with food allergies).

I think some of you have discussed this here, but I'm too tired to read about it tonight. But I have some more stuff to read about. He is going to talk about the nutrition stuff next week. And might be suggesting bitters (Oma? I think you've mentioned this before) to help the digestion thing.

Well, I'm off for bed here in a few moments. I've been so tired the last couple weeks. Ever since Geoff's mom was sick (she is doing well...home and went to church yesterday. Was tired today, but didn't feel sick she said) I've been running on empty. And I was away Friday-Saturday at a work retreat. The only good part of that was I got to stop in and see my grandmother because it was near where she lives. I'd love to take a day off this week, but my boss's fil passed away this afternoon (after being days away from dying since Wednesday last week) so he'll not be around much and I have a ton of work to do. Why did we have to change the clocks amongst all this? That has not helped me get back on track.

Katy, I'm with you on the time change thing. I have seasonal depression and visited my doctor this afternoon. He wants to start me on Cymbalta. I have been reading about it on the internet and have very mixed feelings about it.

Hope your chiropractor/nutritionist is heading in the right direction with you.

I am also sooooo tired and heading to bed soon.

PS - glad to hear that your MIL is doing better!

Take care,
love,
Mars
